About Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a gentle and non-invasive form of medicine. It originated some 200 years ago, based on the fundamental principle is “like cures like”. Homeopathy is used by millions of people worldwide.

Homeopathy is a holistic therapy: it considers the whole person, not just the organ affected. It does not merely treat the symptom but seeks to understand the root cause.

It can be used alongside conventional therapy and often helps to alleviate the side effects of conventional drugs or treatments.

What can homeopathy treat?
Homeopathy can be used in first-aid and acute situations as well as for chronic complaints. Chronic complaints successfully treated by homeopathy include:

  • Eczema and other skin issues;
  • Digestive issues (e.g. constipation, IBS, diarrhoea);
  • Headaches and migraines;
  • Sleep problems;
  • Menstrual issues;
  • Anxiety;
  • Depression;
  • Arthritis;
  • High Blood Pressure.

Is it safe?
Homeopathy is perfectly safe. The remedies are made from a very small amount of the active substance. Two centuries of practice, research and experiments have proved the safety of this system of medicine.
Homeopathic medicines are non-addictive and have no dangerous side-effects.

Who can use homeopathy?
Everyone! Homeopathy is safe to use for anyone, from babies to the elderly and are also safe to take during pregnancy.

About Consultations
During the first consultation, you will be asked about your complaint. You will also be asked other general questions that seek to get to the root of any issues (things that may disturb you, sleep patterns, energy levels). The interview is important to assess the right remedy for you.

The initial consultation will last an hour to an hour and a half.
Follow up consultations will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes and would take place 3 to 6 weeks apart.

What does it cost?
The first consultation costs £35 and the follow-up consultation costs £30*. Any remedies are to be charged on top of the consultation cost and typically are in the region of £1 to £8.

* As I am a student, I am only passing on the charge of my supervision costs

About me

My name is Priscille and I am a fourth-year student at Bristol’s Contemporary College of Homeopathy, with the view of qualifying in July 2018.

I have experience of using homeopathy at home as well as with my own patients and at the college clinic. I take cases under a professionally qualified supervisor and carry professional insurance.

Originally trained as a management accountant, my desire to help people alongside my attraction to natural therapies lead me to homeopathy.

Best wishes,
